I was thinking the other day how cool Kurt's hollo-watch was, but then I started thinking about often how scared his character was about being discovered in the Evo series even though he could hide and mostly blend in with normal humans. In contrast, his character in the 1970's cartoon had no way of blending in with humans, yet he was completely at peace and even reached out to those who had harmed him in the past, and would have done so again if given the chance. What was the difference? The latter version of Kurt had the love of Christ. Whenever his character appeared, he spoke of the love and forgiveness that he had in Jesus despite the intense prejudice against him from regular humans.
It inspires me.
Could I really love as Kurt did? Love those who taunted and cried for my destruction? Could I really love as Christ did? Completely forgiving those who mocked me, betrayed me, and put me to death? I'm not sure, yet I hope I could.
